Ambrose can't believe his eyes when he finds a few peanuts in his part of the forest! His absolute favorite! He had planned to share whatever he found with his sister, but he is tempted to eat the peanuts before he goes home and just give her the walnuts. He's a good chap, though...I know he'll share!

I think love can be found in the tiniest of actions...and some of these can go totally unnoticed.

Ralphy is very proud of this year's entry into the perfect toast contest at the village fair this year. He practices without fail EVERY morning. He can toast ten different pieces at 10% percent percentages of glorious golden-ness up to just before burnt! It's stunning really, and this year he's being honored for it.

I applaud people who try to become the best at any one activity regardless of how important said activity might be. At the very least it instills a sense of personal pride of the good kind, which can go a long way in life and the world, no?

Very softly in the distance, you can hear Brigitte playing the magical ukelele, named Petra in her territory to the north of Frooeezia. Petra will even play on her own while Brigitte sleeps. They both watch over their world’s elixirs, and catalog the letters of forgotten wishes.

Walter found the perfect pair of binoculars, so he has been exploring his surroundings and writing in his journal, documenting every wonderful sight he has seen since! He has always been curious about the natural world around him but learned he loves researching even more! He loves butterflies and lizards and always carries shortbread and lemonade in his traveling bag when he goes on his adventures.

Making time to do what you love to do is so important. These activities can help melt stress after a hard day or help you feel more grounded when life gets really tough.

I asked Diego what he uses to keep his curly fur so lovely and he said he combs it with peas. There's some kind of natural oil that peas have that removes frizz...so he clains.

If you have curly hair like me and diego, you know how hard it is to keep those curls frizz free and under control.

A rare glimpse of a wee Bengal mouse indigenous of Wallawilla Phroonesia! If you ever go to Phroonesia, travel to the east mountains of Fong and follow the rocky path up and to the right of the sparkling waterfall and pull yourself up to the very very top! Then, just beside a stack of rocks, there's a goat that can direct you to a forest where the Bengal mouse can be seen from 3:47pm to 4:08pm on every third Sunday of a month with 33 days.

Leilani is a mermouse from the Ubeehifphwhe'eli Sea. She loves playing backgammon with her fishy friends and working on her dissertation on sixteenth century literature.

Leilani believes there should always be a balance between work and play and I'm inclined to agree with her, although I don't always live up to it.

Petey is a ferricorn you can spot peeping up over perennials and parsley (he has a weakness for parsley) and loves to run with butterflies! Sometimes he forgets to watch where he's going and slams into shrubs. But he's a courageous fellow who protects his meadow from harm whenever he can.

We all have important things to take care of, but it's important to know when to let go and fave fun...just keep those eyes open!

Princess Bedelia loves to throw small garden parties where the only thing served is scrumptious desserts and tea. She appears quite ladylike and dainty here, but remember she is a raccoon after all and...she adores blueberry pie!

Her lady's maid becomes quite cross when she has to remove blueberry stains from Bedelia's bodice.

It's good to have good manners and be proper at the right times, but sometimes you just have to let it all hang out and be yourself!

Priscilla is woefully playing a song for her lost love, Franklin Villamar von Framfrizzle who is pictured behind her at right.

He was a dashing outdoorsman, an avid mycologist, and a great orator on topics such as politics and the value of stinky cheeses.

He succumbed to the temptation of peanut butter in a most precarious situation.

Beatrix guards her part of the meadow from sundown to sunrise. You can often hear her humming a sweet and enchanting tune that lilts on the moonlit breeze. It gently disorients those who might cause harm to the meadow, causing them to move away from her dominion and keeping all the little animals under her care safe and happy.

If only we could charm our world to keep our loved ones safe from harm.

Simone has a magnetism about her, like a tune she hears that she's never heard before, but knows enough to hum the melody. So she goes about her daily work with hopes of sunny summer days.

Sometimes humans get tangled up in what they have envisioned would make them happy and become unhappy if that vision doesn't manifest exactly as expected. They even spend their lives waiting for things to become "perfect," and become inconsolable when they don't. I've found that if you let go of the details...even just a little bit...you just may find that life has provided you with exactly what you wanted after all, and maybe even in a better way than you thought.

This painting was on exhibit in the LA Art Show in February of 2023.

In a moment of quiet contemplation, little Mina dreams of strawberries and aurora borealis. The mermouse imagination is so vivid, that it appears true to life for anyone around her. While it's a wonderful ability, and can be very entertaining for the wee mermouses, it takes practice to hide it when necessary.

Hazel and Zeus became best of friends a couple of years ago, when they happened upon a basket of fruit in the forest and helped each other drag it home to their friends.

They do everything together now. Hazel is great at getting mats out of Zeus's long fur, and Zeus helps Hazel with her spelling. He knows a lot of words that aren't in the dictionary.
